New Parking Restrictions – Further Clarification
Grange Dene Medical Centre
Further clarification
Today, Tuesday 2nd July, the signs and cameras have gone up in the car park.
The restricted times are:
Monday to Friday 7am-7pm
Saturday 9am to 5pm
(The parking company have made an error on the signs listing Sundays. We have deliberately left evenings and Sundays clear as we are happy for the community to appropriately use the car park when it is not needed for the surgery – we have spoken with the company and they have assured us the signs will be changed ASAP)
During the above hours, parking is restricted to 60 minutes. This allows access up to 1 hour to the doctors, dentist, pharmacy and post office. If patients have appointments and need to be with us longer than 60 minutes they can obtain a temporary permit using the tablet mounted on the wall in the surgery. The dentist also have the means to grant temporary permits to patients with them, who need to stay over 60 minutes for their treatment.
We have instigated these measures as our patients and visitors were unable to find sufficient parking despite the size of the car park. Hopefully this should solve the problems experienced over the past 18 months. However, should we still find spaces are limited or unavailable for patients, we may have to review the parking parameters further.
Our only aim is to ensure there is adequate parking available for genuine users of the Grange Dene Medical Complex.
We also need to maintain clear passage for emergency vehicles attending the surgery.
Should people wish to park in Mytholmroyd for other purposes/to visit other local businesses, there are currently free car parks at Russel Deans and Mytholmroyd train station. Mytholmroyd Community Centre also offer honesty box parking.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding,
